We need to rearrange kitchen cabinets, but want to reuse them. How do we do this without destroying them?

rowwith asked:

We had to reroute plumbing in kitchen from inside to outside wall, therefore must move sink, dishwasher, and cabinets and countertops that go with them. We don’t have money for new cabinets, but realize we may need new countertops. How do we detatch cabinets and move them without tearing them up? They’re cheap, stock cabinets put in by investors who flipped house before we bought it. Unsure if screwed and/or glued in. Thanks.

All cabinets are screwed to the wall or the floor, or to each other, or all of these areas. First remove the screws and they’ll just come right of the place their attached to. Be care full to get all the screws out, they may be painted over or in hard to reach places.

If they are screwed in them all you have to do is unscrew them. Look in the bacl of the cabinets to see if they are. If they are glued there is no way of removing them without destroying them.
